Malta has been chosen to host the 10th Europa Donna Pan-European conference next year. This was announced during the 13th edition of the Hilda Schembri Memorial Lecture which was held on Thursday night in the Ballroom of the Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana.

This prestigious conference is held by Europa Donna every two years and around 300 breast cancer specialists and advocates from 45 different countries are expected to to attend.

After the lecture Doris Fenech, vice president and Europa Donna representative, congratulated president Gertrude Abela on her appointment to the executive board of Europa Donna.

She said: “This is great recognition for all Ms Abela’s hard work over the years and her dedication to raising breast awareness. We are sure she will make us all proud.’’
