The longest snake living in captivity has died.

The United States’ Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio said workers found Fluffy, the 24-foot python, dead from an apparent tumour.

Reticulated python Fluffy, 18, held the Guinness World Record as the longest snake living in captivity.

It was about as long as a removal van, as thick as a telephone pole and weighed 300 pounds.
