Ħamrun gets a taste of chocolate

A life-size dining room complete with crockery, chairs and chandeliers – all made of chocolate – will be among the tasty attractions during a Ħamrun festival on Saturday.

The second edition of the Chocolate Festival will also feature various cocoa-made sculptures, paintings and even cocktails as well as a three metre-high model of the Ħamrun parish church.

The festival, organised by the local council, will take place in the village’s main streets and will include exhibitions of old chocolate containers. People can leave their cars at the Floriana car park and take a shuttle coach to St Paul’s Square in Ħamrun. Free parking will be available in the parking area of the Maria Regina Lyceum.

The festival starts at 6 p.m.
