Bishop Cauchi in critical condition
Gozo Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi, 81, was hospitalised last night with informed sources saying his condition was critical but stable. He was in an induced coma at the cardiac unit of the Gozo General Hospital.
Bishop Mario Grech was among those who visited him and urged the faithful to pray for Mgr Cauchi’s recovery while his family asked for his privacy to be respected.
Mgr Cauchi led the Gozo diocese between 1972 and 2005.
