Farmers were today counting the cost of too much of a good thing, 24-hours after heavy downpours turned fields into pools, particularly in the Burmarrad-Salina area.

Residents of low-lying areas were continuing to pump out garages, repair cars and clear the debris. Workers also started to repair roads and rubble walls. Others worked late at night to remove stones from the roads.

Chadwick Lakes, meanwhile, were a sight to behold as water gushed down over the dams.

The fine weather may not last long. Showers and a strong wind are forecast for tomorrow.

Above is a selection of videos and photos submitted by readers yesterday and today, as well as footage of Chadwick Lakes taken this morning by staff cameraman Paul Spiteri Lucas.
