The government will be analysing the impact of examinations and other assessment methods on students and their families, the Finance Minister said.
Speaking during the presentation of next year’s Budget, Mr Tonio Fenech said students must all terminate compulsory education with a lifelong learning capacity.
The government would next year commission a new system of e-learning by which it would continue updating children’s education by electronic means.
Even children in Kindergartens had computers, and a pilot project whereby primary school children were using net books for their studies had been initiated.
The government was increasing facilities for teaching music, drama, art and sport.
This year teaching and information about music in different localities had also started to be offered.
The restructuring and renovation of the Johann Strauss School of Music had been embarked upon for it to become the music academy we would like to have in our country.
