I feel I should complain about the brazen attitude of an individual who ruined an enchantingly beautiful cliff with construction material.

This person ought to lead by example. No Gozitan would ever have dreamt of doing that. But this person’s illegalities seem to have been ignored by the authorities for quite some time.

The case has been reported three times to the Malta Environment and Planning Authority in the space of three weeks. Meanwhile, more rubble was dumped.

This Mġarr ix-Xini cliffside is reached through a country path. It is a cul de sac, leading to a sprawling pseudo-farmhouse.

On the way out, a short way up to the heliport, partygoershabitually dump their wine and whisky bottles and myriadplastic water bottles into an olive grove.

I expect Mepa to find a way to restore these vandalised sites, so popular with country walkers. May this gentleman be given a lesson in civil behaviour.
