A team of 35 professional and amateur divers recently took part in a voluntary dive along the seabed in front of the Marina Hotel at the Corinthia Beach Resort, St George’s Bay, in support of the ‘Underwater Clean-up Day’ organised by the Project Aware Foundation.

During the day-long activity, five skips were filled with debris, irresponsibly strewn all over the seabed. The initiative was taken by Star Fish diving centre, the Marina Hotel’s professional diving centre and school in collaboration with the hotel’s management team.

Star Fish provided all the equipment free, while the Marina Hotel supplied refreshments throughout the day.

Project Aware Foundation is an NGO dedicated to conserving underwater environments through education, advocacy and action.
