After 12 weeks of the Middlesea League, Ramis still share the lead with Globalair, but managed to set a new national record with a massive 8-0 win over Gladiators.
All four matches played finished with identical scorelines as Globalair also won 8-0 against Royal Shock, okmalta.com took all eight from Turu’s Knights and so did PharmaVet against The Clan.
Fina-HSBC was postponed.
Ramis must have come to their clash with Gladiators hopeful of a win, but surely did not expect such high-scoring style.
They opened the set with a huge 923-686 game one win, including a fine 279 effort from Kenneth Arpa, and a 248 from Rankin Camilleri.
As if that wasn’t enough, Arpa then produced a second 279, while there was a 266 for Camilleri as Ramis registered an unbelievable 961-793 game two win.
Ramis then rounded off the thrashing with an 870-710 final win.
Their 2,754 series is a new record for a three-game series (four-man team). Kenneth Arpa was the male bowler of the week with his inspired 749 series.
Globalair stay tied with Ramis at the top, having seen Royal Shock.
Globalair got away to a better start than even Ramis as they claimed the opener 930-825, but then won the second with a more sedate 796-731 score. Globalair completed the whitewash with a sound 809-710 game three win to make sure of an easy eight count.
