The Malta Standards Authority said today that it is recalling two different models of Graco strollers: the Graco Quattro Tour and the MetroLite.

"The recalled products pose a risk of entrapment and strangulation especially to infants younger than 12 months of age. Infants can pass through the openings between the stroller tray and seat bottom, but his/her head and neck can become entrapped by the tray. Infants who become entrapped at the neck are at risk of strangulation," the Authority said.

No such incidents have been reported in Malta 'yet,.' it added.

The MSA said these stollers had not been placed on the market in Malta by the main importer. However, the products may still be present in Malta through parallel importers, of which there are several.

Importers were asked to inform MSA about what measures they will be taking to ensure that all products on the market are recalled.

Consumers who may have bought these products are being asked to return them to the place they were purchased from.
