MUT, school's Board of Governors meet

The Malta Union of Teachers and the Board of Governors of Sacred Heart Primary School have held had a meeting hosted by the Director of Labour to discuss their current industrial dispute.

The MUT had complained that undue interference by the board caused a succession of heads of school to resign.

The Board of Governors described the meeting as 'cordial' and said that both sides were determined to resolve their differences. Both sides agreed to hold further meetings.

"As a consequence of these clarifications and mutual understanding, the MUT is no longer asking for the Boards' resignation," the board said.
