Sarkozy orders breaking of all fuel blockades
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has ordered police to break the blockades at all fuel depots blocked by protests against his pensions reform.
"I gave instructions yesterday to unblock all of the fuel depots in order to return the situation to normal as soon as possible," Sarkozy said in the statement.
Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux said earlier Wednesday that three depots were peacefully reopened overnight, as the government refused to back down on the reform to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62.
Protestors have blockaded several more depots however, police and AFP reporters said.

Really and truly, pension reform should not even be a topic for discussion because the facts are what they are....the average person is living longer so the population is aging. Someone must pay for the pensions, FULL STOP.
There are two options that any government facing this situation can do:
1. Increase the income tax/ National Insurance on the working population.
2. Increase the working age to compensate.
It is very obvious that the second option is the logical one. The french riots have absolutely no base and is proof enought that, as in past riots France, the larger part of the protester are just trouble makers.
