A hawker was fined €350 today after he admitted to having worked as a taxi driver when his licence as a taxi driver was suspended.

The man was caught by inspectors of Transport Malta at Valletta Waterfront last week.

Peter Grima, 32 of Hamrun, pleaded guilty to the charges this morning. He also admitted to not having completed procedures for the transfer of a car which he bought from a friend, and was fined an additional €60.

The man was arraigned under arrest after having refused to give his particulars to the police.
