Maltese jobs for Maltese citizens. Illegal immigrants do everything illegally. Mali citizens do not qualify for refugee status.

Not one comment so far has even bothered to bring up the subject of occupational health and safety (OHS) within those hangar walls, preferring rather to focus on stereotypical discourse.

What was a man from Mali doing there in the first place?
Is he officially employed - paying tax and social contribution?
If not send the medical bill to his emplyer.

I fully agree with you Rod Abela.
We want answers from the authorities and we want them NOW.

I hope the guy recovers quickly but can someone explain how he was given access to work in a secure area when all airport pass holders in the EU must have a five year back round check.

Can someone in authority please explain how this man from Mali who "lives in Hal Far open centre" got through the 'filters' to get OMAS and other permits to enter within the secure perimeter of MIA?? Who was responsibile to screen the police conduct and background of this presumably illegal immigrant? What are his technical or engineering qualifications to work on aircraft?? Who issued the work permits to work in such a sensitive environment?? Answers please!
Nonetheless I hope that he makes a speedy recovery.

Rod Abela Malta's security is in total shambles. How can a Malian living in Hal Far open centre get refugee or humanitarian status? How can he get clearance to enter into security areas when we do not know who he really is? How can security rely on someone we know nothing about and have to believe whatever he says and issue him with a security clearance pass?
