Obituary
SCICLUNA. On October 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, RONNIE of Balzan (ex-Manager, Airmalta), widower of Doreen, née Pecorella, aged 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children, Mark and his wife Suzanne, Corinne and her husband Martin Ward, Moira and her husband Bjorn Kuijt, and his cherished grand-daughter Francesca, his sisters and spouses, Rose and Ronnie Abdilla, Margaret and Frans Scerri, his sister-in-law Annie, widow of his brother Charles Scicluna, in-laws, nieces and nephews, family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Anthony, her children Jeanette and her husband Paul and grandchildren Jessica and Matthew, her son Michael and his wife Prassede and grandchildren Cynthia and Kenneth, her daughter Moira and her husband Simeron and grandchildren Arryk and Miirko and her son Darren and his wife Doris and grandchildren Jake and Julian, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. at Mosta parish church followed by interment at the Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of Mater Dei Hospital and Boffa Hospital for all their care shown towards their loved one. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
TANTI. On October 6, DAVID, aged 38, passed away suddenly at his residence in Msida. He leaves to mourn his great loss his relatives and all his friends at Emmanuel Mallia & Associates. The funeral will be celebrated at Msida parish church tomorrow at 8 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Autumn dog show
The Maltese Ladies Kennel Association will be holding its Autumn Championship Dog Show this weekend at the Old Power Station, Valletta Waterfront.
Judging dogs will be Patsy Hollings, a well known international judge from the UK.
The show will feature over 200 dogs from 44 different breeds and will start tomorrow at 3 p.m. with the gundog and toy breeds and the junior handler class, a competition for boys and girls aged 10 to 17.
On Sunday morning, the show starts at 9 a.m. with the hounds and utility breeds, while in the afternoon the show starts at two with the terrier and working breeds and ends with the finals in which all group winners compete for the coveted Best in Show title.
AA convention
Alcoholics Anonymous Malta will be holding its fifth annual convention between October - 24 at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, St Julians. Those interested can attend the open meetings on October 22 at 4 p.m. (multilingual) and October 23 at 11.30 a.m. (in Maltese). My Name Is Bill W – The AA Story will be screened on October 23 and on October 24 at 9.30 a.m. the final open meeting with the countdown of years of sobriety will take place.
