She's sold her pictures to stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Johnny Depp, but photographer Sally Davies is now best known for a set of snapshots tracking the decay -- or lack thereof -- of a Happy Meal.

For the past six months, she's taken weekly photos of a McDonald's hamburger and fries sitting out on her coffee table.

The food has taken on a plasticised sheen, with no decomposition in sight.

Though accused of faking the stunt, Davies insists it's real... and a unsettling demonstration of how long fast food can stick around.
