China-Brazil ‘friendly’ cut short by brawl

A bench-clearing brawl put an end to a friendly between China and Brazil on Tuesday. The fight occurred in central China’s Henan province, with the teams playing the decider in a three-game series, tied at 1-1. The brawl broke out when a Chinese and Brazilian player began scuffling on the court, causing both benches to empty as players attacked each other with wild kicks and punches. After the situation calmed down, the Brazilians began to walk off the court. A renewed scuffle then erupted and the game did not resume.
