I refer to Joseph Muscat’s letter entitled Anything But Efficient Customer Care (October 8).

We would like to assure the correspondent and all our clients that Maltapost endeavours to deliver all its mail items on a D+1 basis, that is, the day following posting.

Mr Muscat and readers of The Times may also want to note the fact that there is a continuous quality of service measurement being undertaken by an independent consultant. Maltapost’s quality of service result for this financial year to date stands at 95.92 per cent, D+1 and above 99 per cent from D+2.

Maltapost adheres to its responsibilities and obligations to deliver mail as speedily as possible to ensure the best possible quality of service to all.

We trust this will clarify the matter.
