After two very long years of waiting
A letter I wrote and entitled Neglected St Paul’s Bay appeared in The Times two years ago. Two days later, the Environment Ministry’s communications office replied saying work on a project extending from the government school to the Sirens waterpolo pitch would start in September 2008.
The project should have included changing railings, adding a veranda as a belvedere, lighting, pavements and so on.
Two years later, the dangerous, falling-to-bits concrete balusters and the twisted iron pipes are being painted! Is this the start of the project that had been mentioned?

Better late than never, even though it usally is more never than late at all until someone makes a valid comment. In my opinion I cannot understand why paint now in winter when the rain and the salt air will not help and they will be agian in bad shape for next summer Season. When are we going to learn.

Mr Cassar
The work should be carried out by a government department, therefore when you point out to the mayor, don’t forget to mention the other 10 councillors.

This project should have formed part of the 'coastal upgrade programme' a very small part of which was completed at Ta' Fra Ben in Qawra and was promised to go all the way to the promenade area near the School in St Paul's Bay and part of the famous and much publicised ‘model village’ following the visit by the Prime Minister along with his Delegation earlier on in the year!
