A blue anole (Anolis gorgonae), a highly threatened lizard that is found only on the island of Gorgona, about 50 kilometres off the Colombian Pacific coast and part of the municipality of Guapi, in the department of Cauca, Colombia. The island functioned as a prison until 1985 when it became a National Natural Reservation turning into an ecological paradise.
