Maltese referee Clayton Pisani and assistant referee Edward Spiteri have been selected in the pool of match officials for the European Under-17 Championship 2011 Qualifying Round Group 13 mini-tournament, to be held in Spain from October 16-21.

Apart from hosts Spain, the other teams taking part in this competition are Finland, Moldova and Russia.

Pisani will take charge of two matches at the Guillermo Amor Stadium in Benidorm, namely Russia vs Finland on Saturday and Russia vs Moldova today week. He has been named fourth official for the October 21 clash between Spain and Russia.

Meanwhile, Esther Azzopardi Farrugia, who is also in the FIFA pool, has been chosen to referee the Women’s Champions League, Round of 32 second leg match between Brondby IF (Denmark) and RTP Unia Raciborz (Poland). The game is being played tomorrow in Brondby.

Philip Agius and Thomas Debono will be the assistant referees while Betina Norman (Denmark) will act as fourth official.
