Portman International extends student placement programme

After the success achieved this year, Portman International is planning to hold another phase of student placements throughout next summer.

“Every year I meet young, hard-working professionals in the making. It is inspiring to know that the future generation is preparing itself solidly for challenges ahead,” said David Marinelli, managing director of Portman International.

Last summer, the company opened its doors to five University students who were able to acquire office experience during their summer break.

“This summer has been a great learning experience for me. The placement at Portman International has exposed me to an office environment, throughout which I performed day-to-day duties including administrative work and client relationship building,” said Maria Attard, a business student specialising in accounts, banking and finance.

Daniel Buttigieg shared his feelings: “This placement has offered me invaluable insight into the corporate side of law, since the department I worked with dealt with the formation of companies in local and foreign jurisdictions.”

Summer placements are open to Law and B. Com students, ACCA candidates as well as other students.

Employing over 85 professionals in Malta, London and Dublin, Portman International is a provider of professional, fiduciary and trading support services to international clients.
