Death of palm trees

Something or somebody is killing the palm trees along the stretch of the Sliema promenade opposite the Carmelite convent. Several trees have already died and several more are showing signs of distress, especially those whose palm fronds are tied together.

Every effort must be made by whoever is responsible to save these trees. Those that have died ought to be replaced by other mature palm trees, not by oleanders, as was done in one instance.
