A seven episode new genre of documentary-style drama that focuses on the seven biggest killers known to men – 7 Qattiela (7 Killers) is to start being broadcast on TVM on Wednesdays at 8.45 p.m

The production is the work of Watermelon Media, the production house behind popular shows such as L-Ispjun, l- Akbar Bluff, Saħħtek l-Ewwel, Għada Nibda Żgur, Terrazza, Check-In and the game-show Divided.

Written by Pierre Portelli, who brings his journalistic expertise to the production, 7 Qattiela stars popular actor John Montanaro who takes on once again the equally popular role of Inspector Gabriel Mifsud – whom the viewers had first met during the TV Series Angli.

This time round, Gabriel Mifsud’s challenge is to gather evidence against a different killer every episode. The difference is that this time round the killers are not people like us, but instead they’re the everyday vices and obstacles that we all meet up against from time to time. There’s sugar, salt, drugs, alcohol, fat, pollution and tobacco.

Inspector Gabriel Mifsud follows their traces and exposes the origins of these killers. Where is alcohol and excessive fat intake hiding within our society? Why does the industry sneak them in even when the consumers are not aware of their presence and of the damage that these will wreak on their lives?

The docudrama will also feature interview with various experts on each subject, including Dr Victor Grech, the main consultant on this production. Besides the real life stories of people who ended up victims of these killers, each episode will also include a story-line where we see Inspector Mifsud attempting to uncover the truth about each killer.
