The History Teachers’ Association (HTA), together with the Faculty of Education within the University of Malta, will be organising the ninth annual M.A. Sant memorial lecture.
This year’s lecture is entitled ‘Developing Historical Understanding: interpret-ation and multiperspectivity revisited’.
British academic Robert Stradling will be examining the importance of providing different historical perspectives in the classroom.
Dr Stradling is a senior research fellow at the University of Edinburgh, Institute for Education, Teaching and Leadership. He has lectured and carried out research in various universities around the UK and worked for the English and Scottish governments in evaluating the curriculum. He also published different works for the Council of Europe.
