Roma are wary of the threat of Napoli's attacking force, particularly the in-form Edison Cavani, ahead of tomorrow's game at the San Paolo stadium.

Napoli have been a model of inconsistency this term, with a

2-1 win at Sampdoria one of two victories, while they were stunned 3-1 by Chievo earlier this month.

Cavani has been prolific, with five goals in five games for Napoli, including two against Cesena last weekend.

Napoli won 4-1 at Cesena to climb to sixth in the standings, two points behind leaders Inter Milan and Lazio.

Cavani also got on the scoresheet in Napoli's last fixture, a 3-3 draw at Steaua Bucharest in Thursday's Europe League.

The Uruguay forward struck the equaliser deep in stoppage time as his team came from 3-0 down to clinch a point.

Roma defender Marco Cassetti, however, insists his side cannot concentrate solely on the South American star, with Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi expected to make up a three-pronged attack for the hosts alongside Cavani.

"We know that Napoli in attack are blessed with important players," he said."Cavani is in great form at this moment but I have to make it clear that he has other high quality team-mates.

"We go to Naples looking to give continuity to our performances and we have always done well at the San Paolo."

Roma, who have not lost at Napoli since 1997, head into the encounter in buoyant mood.

The Giallorossi followed their 1-0 triumph over Inter Milan, their first league victory of the campaign, with a 2-1 win over Cluj in their Champions League midweek showdown.

Roma will be desperate to clinch a win on Sunday in order to climb out of the drop zone.

"It has been a good week for us," said Roma coach Claudio Ranieri. "It was important to win in the Champions League and now we can turn our attention to the domestic competition.

"Wins give the team confidence and we hope to give continuity to these results."

Roma will be without Philippe Mexes and Simone Perrotta, both suspended.
