Why are road signs in Malta that are supported from the ground only use a scaffold pole? This leads to many of them being knocked over or pulled over intentionally very easily. They should be using a much more substantial support. Transport Malta should take some experience and advice from countries such as Germany to see how well engineered and installed all road signs are. Also many directional road signs are only installed at the junction they are advising. They should also have a duplicate sign 2-300m before the junction allowing a driver to decide and indicate in good time rather than seing the sign and having to decide at the same time which way he should turn.

@TM How about you get your priorities straight and upgrade the state of the roads first?

While you're doing that, please take a look at the positioning of road signs. Directional signs are often placed AFTER it's too late to make lane changes.
