The price of both unleaded fuel and petrol has fallen by one cent while diesel rose in price by two cents as from today.
Meanwhile, gas has now become between 70c and €1.90 more expensive, depending on the size of the cylinder.
Enemalta Corporation said the new fuel prices reflected its latest shipments, as a result of which the price of unleaded fuel fell to €1.19 from €1.20, petrol to €1.26 from €1.27 and gasoil for heating to 71c from 72c.
On the other hand, diesel and kerosene both went up to €1.08 from €1.06. The drop in petrol prices was due to favourable exchange rate movements despite higher purchasing prices than the previous delivery whereas diesel was bought at a less favourable rate.
The price of a 10-kilogram gas cylinder rose by 70c to €12, the widely used 12-kilogram cylinder by 80c to €14.20, the 15-kilogram one by €1.10 to €17.40 and the 25-kilogram by €1.90 to €28.10.
This, said Liquigas, was a result of a 12 per cent increase in international raw material prices.
In last month’s revision, the prices of unleaded fuel and petrol both fell by two cents while that of diesel had remained unchanged.
