The son-in-law of a former magistrate yesterday admitted to damaging his car and threatening to use violence against him on Tuesday afternoon.
Alloysius Ittebulu, 32, of St Julians admitted to damaging Dennis Montebello’s car, his daughter’s car and threatening to use violence against him.
Defence lawyer Roberto Montalto told Magistrate Silvio Meli that this was an unfortunate incident which was actually a domestic argument that got out of hand.
He added that the charges stated that the car owned by Dr Montebello’s daughter belonged to her when in fact it belongs to his client.
The damage, he added, had been paid for. Magistrate Silvio Meli jailed Mr Ittebulu for four months suspended for one year.
