Between January 1 and June 30 this year the government paid a total of €29,850,294 for pharmaceuticals.

Health Minister Joseph Cassar said this in reply to a parliamentary question by Michael Farrugia (PL).

Answering an identical question by Dr Farrugia on how much the government had paid local and foreign importers and distributors of pharmaceuticals in the same six-month period, Dr Cassar quoted €30,774,462.
