Transport Malta is currently in the process of evaluating a choice of solutions for pedestrian safety on the Mrieħel Bypass. Besides a pedestrian bridge, as approved by Mepa a few months ago, the choice also includes an underpass or a pedestrian crossing.

Answering a parliamentary question by Roderick Galdes (PL), Transport Minister Austin Gatt said a final decision would be taken as soon as Transport Malta had all the relevant details on each possible solution.
