Ghall-informazzjoni tieghek tajjeb li tkun taf, li jien inhossni kburi li m'ghandi l-ebda gibda lejn partit politiku. Jien mhux bniedem ipokrita li mmur nilghaq lill- politikanti biex imbaghad nakkwista xi 'promotion'. Tajjeb li tinnota minn naha tieghek illi fil-Kunsill ta' l-Imtarfa kien hemm membri tal-partit li thaddan inti illi dawn kienu tajbin biss biex jghidu lis-Segretarju Ezekuttiv biex jiffurmalhom xi ittra halli huma jkun jistghu (bi skuza) jattendu ghal xi laqgha. F'dan il-pajjiz kulhadd iridha tat-tajjeb u jilghaba tal-Kristjan imma imbaghad nindunaw kemm hawn nies ipokriti.

Nope, no and no. I don't gamble, I don't spend much time in bars (i will be heading to a bar for the 1st time in over 2 weeks) and I don't own a tv.

Now, a question to you - Do you feel that our lifestyles have improved over the past, lets say, 15 years? Now, I dare YOU to tell us the truth. And don't bring the financial crisis into the picture. This country has gone to the dogs way before the financial crisis.

So you came to repeat your comment in Maltese because you thought people didn't understand your original comment in English? No, it's just because we ignored you the first time, but not the second. It's not just the gas but everything else that seems to be on the increase and the government knows about it but does not care. The same excuses keep trotting up "market liberilzation", "true market cost", "nothing in life is free (well it never was!" and so on. It's not just the water and electricity bills, but also food stuffs that keep increasing every other month. Go ask your mum how much her shopping costs...

Robert Agius

It's a simple logic Sean. Everything depends on energy so if you increase the cost gas (and electricity) everything else goes up.

My friend you must be young to have hope in ANY politician promise, especially from one in opposition. One promise by the Prim Minister and Leader of the Opposition printed on THE TIMES, Feb. 7, 2005, on page 13 says: ''Political leaders say MPs' pensions should be part of reform''.
Almost six years have passed and the reform was a weekly raise to themselves by this government. The only time a politician is to be believed is when he say it to the marines!

This Government even privatized the LOTTO DEPARTMENT that was a milk-cow netting in MILLIONS to be given over to a private, FOREIGN company! Can it get more idiotic than that, I ask?!

The site you quote gives mains gas (natural gas expressed in kwh of energy) but also that of LPG (malta not included) prices with and without taxes and duties, The malta LPG price is now at around €1.20 per kg. The list given is prices of LPG per litre. 1kg = 2 liters, Malta price for comparison = €0.60 about 9th cheapest or 10th dearest !!

If we take that site, the highest LPG per liter cost is United Kingdom at € 0.75 per litre. However there is no value for Malta on the site......we can email it to them as we are the HIGHEST BY FAR AT A STAGGERING € 1.18 PER LITRE!!!!!!!!!!

A Bezzina

Oct 1st 2010, 19:44

Jason, though the way the LPG prices are fluctuating leave me with some suspision, the price of €1.18 you quote is for a kg not a litre. The specific gravity of LPG is 0.5. That means that 1 kg = two liters or in the UK it would cost €1.50 per kg (€0.75 per lt) and for Malta €0.59 per lt.

@Ms Joanna Farrugia. L-Onor. JM kien qieghed jigdeb fuq Xarabank ghax kien qal lill Onor. U il kbarat jiehdu zidiet u pagi ta' eluf kbar ta Euro u iz zghir miskin minn kien self employed u ma jahdimx lanqas social assistance ma jiehu. Dak pajjiz gust li ghanna biex niftahru bih.
