Super catamaran starts operations on Monday
Virtu Ferries' new super catamaran Jean de la Valette will commence operations on the Malta-Sicility route on Monday.
The catamaran carries 800 passengers and has garage space for 156 cars pr 45 cars and the equivalent of 17 trailers. Crossing time between Matla and Pozzallo is 90 minutes, between Malta and Catania, three hours.
The Jean de la Valette flies the Malta flag and is the largest high speed catamaran in operation in the Mediterranean and the fifth largest in the world.
Day return departures are daily except Tuesdays.

Good to see that the "Malta Flag of Confidence" is flying on this mighty state of the art vessel. Well done to Virtu Ferries and to Transport Malta (Marine) of course. A very proud flagship to both. All hands on deck !!
