President George Abela greets a child playfully on a visit to Dingli yesterday, where he praised the work of the local council for its 10-year sustainable development plan.

The council is also planning a Heritage Trail by Dingli Cliffs and he augured that it would include Verdala Palace so everyone could enjoy it.

The President and his wife Margaret mingled with the crowd that included farmers and herdsmen – part of the Dingli identity – and children in colourful costumes sang for them.
