A Mitsubishi Lancer caught fire in the ditch in front of the Marsa Sports Complex at about 9.50 p.m. on Thursday, the police said yesterday.

Police and Civil Protection Department members were soon on site to put out the blaze. No-one was injured.

Magistrate Antonio Vella appointed various experts to assist in his inquiry into the incident.
