Dating back to the 1930s, this photo forms part of a unique collection put together by Italian archaeologist Luigi Maria Ugolini who documented and researched Malta’s prehistoric culture. An entire collection of documents and photos listing the island’s archaeological history drawn up by Ugolini were forgotten in a museum in Rome and discovered in 2000 by two Maltese researchers. His work will be the highlight of tonight’s exhibition at Auberge de Castille, Valletta as part of the Notte Bianca activities.
