A man who had been charged with threatening, attacking and injuring his father and brother has been found not guilty as no proof of the alleged crimes was provided by the prosecution.

George Mifsud Bonnici, 27, of Marsascala had been charged with injuring his brother Stephen and father Benny in 2005 and 2006, damaging Stephen’s car, threatening him, breaching the peace, disobeying police orders, driving dangerously and using obscene language.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Audrey Demicoli, noted that no proof had been presented by the prosecution to substantiate its allegations and the alleged victims opted not to testify, so it found the accused, represented by Franco Debono and Carmain Cherrett, not guilty.
