The Corradino-based micro-enterprise Actionframe is working on a pilot project that would permit it to enter the Moto GP market, Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi said during a visit to the factory.

He said that with the help of ERDF funds, the company had embarked on a €260,000 research and innovation project to develop motorbikes from innovative materials.

A total 45 per cent of project was being funded through the ERDF.

Specialised examinations have been held in Bologna on a prototype, which has now to be developed with the proper material.

It would then be tested on the track and the final product for the market would then be developed.

Actionframe, which was set up 10 years ago, employs five people.
