Thierry Henry has secured a New York apartment in the fashionable Soho neighbourhood for nearly $15 million, news reports said yesterday.
The 33-year-old Henry, who this year retired from international play and joined the New York Red Bulls Club, will have his three-storey pad in the lower Manhattan quarter near stars including Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman, according to reports in the Wall Street Journal and Daily Mail.
Pictures of the apartment show the posh-decorated flat of 600 square metres along with a terrace of 450 square metres on Crosby Street in the loft district.
The Daily Mail said the former Arsenal and Barcelona striker agreed to pay nine million dollars for two storeys and then another 4.85 million for the lower floor after the current tenant moves out.
He would then link the two apartments to make a triplex.
