Bronze medal for Marsovin’s Caravaggio Chenin Blanc

This summer, Marsovin won a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine awards in the UK for its D.O.K. Malta wine, Caravaggio Chenin Blanc 2009.

Decanter has enlisted some of the world’s most respected experts to head up our regional panels. Each Regional Chair is chosen for their specialist knowledge of a specific area and oversees a team of judges invited for their in-depth knowledge. A thorough understanding of regional style is crucial for recognising outstanding quality rather than simply rewarding specially crafted ‘competition wines’.

Caravaggio 2009 is produced from family owned vineyards in Malta. This vintage was the first Maltese wine to win a bronze medal in Decanter Magazine.

The Decanter World wine award is a prestigious competition in which Marsovin competed for the first time. The wine was described as a wine with “aromas of grapefruit, apple and vanilla reflected on the palate with green apple character and crisp acidity on the finish.”

This is the third medal Marsovin has won in the past six months. Its Antonin red won a gold medal in Italy and its Marnisi won a silver medal in the Challenge International Du Vin in Blaye en Bourg in France.
