Diego Milito was on target for the first time this season as he and Samuel Eto'o hit doubles in Inter's crushing Serie A win over Bari.

Inter manager Rafael Benitez had dismissed concerns about Argentinian striker Milito's form before the match, after he failed to score and was substituted in each of the club's first three matches of the league season.

But he would nevertheless have been delighted to see the man whose two goals earned Inter their Champions League title in May find the scoresheet for the treble winners again.

Bari hit the post in the first minute when Sergio Almiron cracked a super shot against the goal-frame, but thereafter it was a match dominated by the home side.

Eto'o and Wesley Sneijder went close in the early stages, and the opening goal was due when Inter's front two combined to devastating effect.

Eto'o surged into the penalty area from the left flank and crossed for Milito to head into the top left corner.

That came after 27 minutes and Eto'o almost created another goal three minutes later when his cross was sent wide by Maicon.

The second goal arrived in the 50th minute when Marco Rossi's handball from Sneijder's cross gave Inter a penalty, which Eto'o rifled into the right corner.

Sneijder shot narrowly wide after an exchange of passes with Esteban Cambiasso, before Milito fizzed a shot too high.

Eto'o hit the back of the Bari net again after 63 minutes, again from the 12-yard mark, after Lucio was pulled down by Emmanuel Rivas for a clear penalty.

Dejan Stankovic fired wide from 25 yards in the 81st minute as Inter looked to boost their goals-for tally, and the fourth goal arrived in the 86th minute when Stankovic's superb pass found Milito who thumped a fierce shot past goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet.

MILAN DRAW

Sergio Floccari's equaliser prevented AC Milan from returning to winning ways as Lazio earned a deserved point at the Stadio Olimpico.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had given the Rossoneri a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute only for Lazio to hit back with nine minutes remaining.

Milan were unlucky not to claim all three points after Gianluca Zambrotta's strike rattled the crossbar two minutes from time.

The result marked Milan's second straight draw and their third game without a win under new boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Ibrahimovic should have given the visitors a seventh-minute lead but the Swede failed to beat Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera in a one-on-one.

Shortly afterwards, Ibrahimovic got behind Andrea Pirlo's free-kick and beat his marker before firing a right-footed strike that Muslera turned away for a corner.

On the half-hour mark, Lazio had their first chance.

Floccari fed Hernanes on the edge of the area and he fired just wide of the far post.

Lazio should have taken the lead before the break but Stefano Mauri's 15-yard strike was met by a fine save by Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati.

Shortly after the restart, Floccari's attempt from outside the area was kept out by Abbiati

On the hour, Abbiati cleared Hernanes' 14-yard shot with his knee as Milan's defence looked to be under constant threat.

But it was Milan that took a surprise lead after the hour mark.

A defensive distraction from Lazio saw Ibrahimovic connect with Clarence Seedorf's pass and he struck the ball past Muslera to put his team in front.

Lazio coach Edoardo Reja brought in attacking duo Tommaso Rocchi and Mauro Zarate.

But it was Floccari that came to the rescue for the home side.

Hernanes' cross found Floccari at the heart of the area and his left-footed strike towards the top left corner beat Abbiati.

Lazio still could have claimed victory had Abbiati not made a great save to deny Hernanes from close range with one minute to go.
