DALLI. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, TESSIE, née O’Flaherty, widow of Joseph, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Marthese and husband Renato Mattei, her daughter-in-law Anna, widow of Joe, her grandchildren Jeremy, his wife Rita, Dorian, his girlfriend Elaine, Yanika, Diandra, her boyfriend Lee, her great-grandchildren Nicole, Cameron, Jake, her brother Charles, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment. Fusion of art and music
Artist Jeni Caruana will be showing Echoes, a collection of jazz and music paintings from this summer, at Galea’s Art Gallery in Strait Street, Valletta.
The paintings feature many well-known musicians performing on stage.
The gallery’s newly refurbished Creativity Centre will host a jamming session by local and foreign musicians, making for an exciting fusion of music and art.
Ms Caruana’s works will decorate the centre’s walls during Notte Bianca on Saturday and will be displayed until October 1. Opening hours are between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. daily.

Gozo graduates’ mass
The Gozitan Graduates Movement will hold its monthly First Friday Mass on October 1 at St Augustine’s church in Victoria at 8.30 p.m. Mass will be said by Fr Geoffrey Attard. As from November 5, First Friday Mass will be celebrated at 8 p.m.
