Largest fancy vivid pink diamond fetches €5.3m

A 6.43-carat fancy vivid pink diamond ring, estimated worth between €4.5 and €5.3 million, will appear at an auction at Sotheby’s.
A spokesman for Sotheby’s said the diamond is the largest fancy vivid pink diamond to appear at an auction since the record-breaking pink diamond that was sold in April 2006. The ring will go under the hammer as part of the Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite Autumn Sale at Sotheby’s Hong Kong on October 6.
