DINGLI. On September 16, LILIAN, née Ellul Mercer, aged 81, passed away peacefully at Karin Grech Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved and devoted husband John, her children Sandra, Robert and Lucienne, Marilyn, Christine, John and Bob, her only sister Jean Mifsud, her grandchildren Christopher and Erika, Steven, Danielle, Natali and Nick, Justine, Edward, family, neighbours and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 8.45 a.m. for Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or the Malta Dementia Society, c/o Room 135, Department of Pharmacy, University of Malta, will be appreciated.

MANGION. On September 16, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, BEATRICE (k/a BICE), née Muscat, aged 97, wife of the late Prof. Joseph J. Mangion, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nieces Lucienne, Cecilia, Anna, Brigitte and Patricia, her husband’s nephews and niece Maryrose, their families especially Anna, other relatives and friends especially Rose Sansone. The funeral will leave Casa Antonia today at 8.30 a.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to the Ladies Society of St Vincent de Paul, c/o Rose Sansone, 47/5, Main Street, St Julians, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Power cuts

There will be power cuts in the following localities tomorrow:

From 8 to 11 a.m. in Tad-Duru, Tal-Ħanaq, Ta’ Ħida, St Joseph, Tax-Xini, Taż-Żrajk, Ta’ Majża and Qorti ta’ l-Uqija streets in Nadur.

From 2.30 to 5 p.m. in Emigrants, Grunju and St Andrew streets in Nadur.

On Monday, the power supply will be suspended from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in parts of Dura, Għadajjar and Naħal streets in Mosta.

There will be no electricity in parts of St Albert and Mikiel Anton Vassalli streets and Madonna tal-Ġebel Street in Kappara/Gżira on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Millenium Church

Fr Saviour Grima, former parish priest of St Augustine church, Valletta, has been appointed director of the Millennium Church and Wishing Others Well, a spiritual and social service based in Paceville, St Julians.
