Obituary
BRIFFA. On September 13, CHARLES (ex-Cargo Handling Official and ITF Inspector), aged 65, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Margot, née Muscat, his sons Nikolai and his girlfriend Nicola, Kristjan and his wife Michaela, Karl and his girlfriend Jeanelle, his sister Lina Cachia, his brothers Vince and Tony and their respective wives Markia and Rita, his in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for San Ġwann parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. Donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SPITERI MALLIA. On September 14, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, ANTOINETTE, née Cachia, widow of Maurice and mother of Marguerite, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 88. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Joanna and her husband Francis Camilleri, her son-in-law Stephen Mangion, her grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Peter, Mark and Martine, and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia today at 1.15 p.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Casa Antonia for their consideration and care. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SULTANA. On September 15, Dr DONALD Sultana, passed away peacefully to join his beloved Myriam, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 85. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Arnold and his wife Marcelle, his sisters-in-law Connie, widow of his brother Wilfrid, and May, widow of his brother Herbert Max, his nephews and nieces, David, Paul, Annemarie, Karmen, Peter, Karl, Simon, Jacqui, Mark and Nicola and their respective spouses, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Attard parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Housing Authority CEO
Albert Buttigieg was appointed CEO of the House Authority, succeeding Francis Borg, who has been in office since November.
Dr Buttigieg is a former Capuchin priest who worked for several years with children, young people, senior citizens, prison inmates and families both here and abroad.
He was a recipient of the Ġieħ San Ġwann award for his service to the community in 2001. He is a philosophy and theology graduate and supplemented his studies with a baccalaureate and Masters in education.
