Premier Capital, the Development Licensee for McDonald’s restaurants in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta has opened another McDonald’s restaurant, located within the Alfa Shopping Mall in Riga, Latvia.

This new restaurant is another step in Premier Capital’s expansion and will be followed up by the opening of a new restaurant in Parnu, Estonia and a new McCafe just outside the main train station right in the centre of Riga all due to happen by mid September.

With an investment of €700,000, the new restaurant comes equipped with all the bells and whistles one has come to expect from the world favourite quick service food brand. Measuring 187 square meters and offering 118 seats, the restaurant boasts a “Lim Edge” design and carries various new features that will make this venue popular with customers both young and old. This new development has also created over 50 new jobs, taking the company’s total complement to well over 2,000.

“September is a very important month for us on the development front as it will see the opening of 2 new stores and a new McCafe. We are very happy with the pace of our continued expansion across the Baltic region and will see more new additions by year-end. Our development team is doing an outstanding job of identifying potential sites and developing these into state-of-the-art McDonald’s restaurants. We are very confident that we will meet our ambitious plan of having opened 8 new restaurants over a 24 month period,” said Melo Hili managing director of Premier Capital Limited.

The group’s ongoing expansion programme is, in part, being financed via a bond issue that was floated earlier this year.
