Singing sensation Susan Boyle fulfilled her dream tonight of singing for the Pope.
The 49-year-old sang before and after the Papal mass at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
A huge cheer went up from the 65,000-strong crowd when the Britain's Got Talent star took to the stage ahead of the Pope's arrival.
Wearing a long black coat and heels, Boyle sang the tune that catapulted her to fame, I Dreamed A Dream from the hit musical Les Miserables. Pilgrims waved flags in the air as she sang.
Following the mass she sang a rendition of the Hymn "Make Me A Channel of Your Peace".
As she began performing, a girl from the crowd, shouted: "We love you Susan."
Boyle, from Blackburn in West Lothian, rehearsed last night.
Speaking about what the event meant to her, she told BBC Reporting Scotland: "It's hard to describe it. It's hard to put into words, really. But it will be a very humbling experience, a very indescribable experience. It's beyond my imagination, beyond my wildest dreams."
