9.30 a.m. The President is presented with credentials by Irish Ambassador Jim Hennessy at the Palace, Valletta.
10.30 a.m. The President is presented with credentials by Italian Ambassador Efisio Luigi Marras.
11 a.m. Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund working committee at San Anton Palace.
11.30 a.m. The President is presented with credentials by Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Jaber Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah at the Palace.
1.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host a luncheon in honour of the newly accredited ambassadors of Ireland, Italy and Kuwait at San Anton Palace.

10.30 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from the Public Service Commission chairman Paul Attard and executive secretary Charles Polidano at the Palace, Valletta.

10.30 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from members of Kayak for Cancer at San Anton Palace.
11 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from the organising committee of the Ċentinarju tal-Madonna tal-Ħerba and Rev. Provost Archpriest Fr Anton Cassar.

10.30 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Rei Shiratori, honorary consul general for Malta in Japan, at San Anton Palace.
11.30 a.m. The President receives Finnish Ambasador Pauli Mäkelä on a farewell call at San Anton Palace.
7 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela preside over a recital by tenor Ondrej Saling and pianist Daniel Buranovski, presented by the Embassy of Slovakia in Rome, the Honorary Consulate of Slovakia in Malta and the Slovak Institute in Rome, at San Anton Palace.
Saturday
7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a vocal and piano recital by Ondrei Saling, Lydia Caruana, Daniel Buranovski and Elizabeth Leonardi, followed by a reception hosted by Slovak Ambassador Stanislav Vallo and Mrs Vallo and the honorary consul of Slovakia Godwin Bencini and Mrs Bencini on the National Day of Slovakia at the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana.
Sunday
Noon The President inaugurates the Blue Sea – Puttinu fishing festival world record challenge held in collaboration with Marsascala council in Marsascala.
