• The Missions Office of Valletta requires teachers, ex-teachers and students to promote the missions in schools, a number of volunteers to animate Missionary Village activities from October 24 to 27, and participants in Mixja għall-Missjoni to be held on October 17. • The Maltese Psychological Association is organising a practice seminar at the Federation for Professional Bodies, Sliema Road, Gżira, tomorrow between 9 and 11 a.m. The theme is ‘Working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy’ and the seminar will be led by Dr Edward Curmi and Dr Anthony Dimech. The seminar is open to psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers and related health professionals. • The Malta Geographical Society will be holding a sunset walk on Tuesday. Participants will meet at the Red Tower, Mellieħa, at 6 p.m.

• The Missions Office is holding an activity to raise missionary awareness, in its audio visual hall at no. 7, Merchants Street, Valletta, on Tuesday at 6.15 p.m. Physiotherapist Claudine Micallef will give a presentation on her experiences at St Luke’s Hospital in Wolisso, Ethiopia. • St Margaret College Boys Secondary, Verdala, will be holding a reunion for former students and teachers of the Royal Navy School, Verdala, on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m. The reunion will be held at the college and will include a presentation on Verdala’s history and lunch in a nearby restaurant. • An evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation of the world will be held at the basement chapel of Sarria church, Floriana, on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m, organised by the International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII. Everyone is invited.

• The Augustinian Institute, Pietà, launches its academic year on Friday at 6.15 p.m. with a Mass celebrated by Faculty of Theology dean Fr Emanuel Agius. • St Venera Scout Group will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, a reunion for all former members will be held at the group’s headquarters on Saturday.
