Children learn about wartime Malta

A group of Klabbsajf students recently participated in an activity designed to teach them about the Second World War. The event was organised by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna and Bank of Valletta.

The activity involved showing the children what it was like living during the war – they visited an air raid shelter and heard the air raid warning, as well as the all clear signal. This outing was organised with the aim of creating more awareness about Malta’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

The children also visited the Malta at War museum in Vittoriosa, where they watched a wartime film des-cribing the hardships Maltese citizens and allies faced. Children then had the opportunity to look at various items from the time, such as gas masks.
